“A postmodern, 21st-century version of Polanski’s classic Repulsion.”
The Guardian, Peter Bradshaw

MY FRIEND THE POLISH GIRL is a fiction film that takes the form of a first-time filmmaker’s documentary.
An American female documentarian sets out to make a film about immigrants in post-Brexit-vote London, but ends up intruding on the life of a struggling Polish actress. The award-winning British debut feature, MY FRIEND THE POLISH GIRL, takes you to the dark side of sexuality, friendship and unethical filmmaking.
“At a time when we have all become documentarians – taking photos of our #lunch for Instagram, giggling for Snapchat and grinning for YouTube – this is a film which reminds us that sometimes it is best to let reality simply ‘be’.”
Epigram, Daisy Game

As a wife/husband directing team, we tried to create a hyper-naturalistic, character driven story with two psychologically nuanced female protagonists. Our somewhat controversial film has received a whole spectrum of reviews ranging from “one of the most stimulating films of the year” to “a lazy” and “porny” “docu-drama” [sic]. Before its US cinema release this autumn, we invite you to watch the very different MY FRIEND THE POLISH GIRL and decide for yourself.
